School Telematch Day 17 April
The school will be having a telematch day next week on Thursday 17 April. Prior to the telematch day, league matches begin on Monday 14 April until Wednesday 16 April. The finals will be played on telematch day.
Sports Practice & Attendance
This week, several sports practices have been on-going to prepare the teams for the March Past and games. All ECA slots are being utilized to give the respective teams’ time to practise.
All team members are expected to show team spirit and cooperation, therefore, attendance is compulsory. So do take care of your health and be present for practices. Merit points will be awarded for attendance which will be accumated for team points.
Friday 18 April will be a school holiday.

Sri Ara Fun Run
The Sri Ara Fun Run on Saturday, 15 February will begin at 8.30 am and is expected to end at noon. Please arrange the transport for your childrento be sent to the venue and pick them up after the activity is over. For easy reference, the map to Tasek Merdeka is attached. This event is a replacement day for the school and attendance is compulsory.
A supervised trial run at the venue will be arranged by the school on Thursday, 13 February.
Students will be ferried by bus to the venue at 8.30am and back to school by 10.30am for this. For the run, on Saturday students are required to wear the proper attire according to your house colours and comfortable running shoes. Students will be provided with a bottle of mineral water.

We have started 2014 with a big bang as the Chinese New Year celebrations kick in early this year. Thank you to everyone for making it a joyous occasion with great performances and a fabulous pot-luck spread to start off the year of the Horse. Despite all the practice for the celebrations, lessons have been carrying on from the first week of the school term.

Dear Parents/ Students,
Mr. Edward Pragasam, In Memory
Mr. Edward Pragasam, our beloved head of art, passed away in the early hours of Sunday, 15 th September at the Singapore General Hospital, having undergone cardio surgery ten days earlier. He was an artist whose passion for education surpassed his love of art. He was a mentor to countless number of students and even in his old age, he was full of enthusiasm and optimism, inspiring students to pursue their passions and dreams. His hopes to hold an exhibition of his collection of artwork had since become a memory.
His passing on Sunday just prior to his 75th birthday, saddened us greatly as his presence will be dearly missed by all at Sri Ara.

Dear Parents/ Students,
The school will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, 10 July.
ECAs will break during the fasting month of Ramadhan, begining 5 July and will resume after the Aidil Fitri or Eid holiday break on 26 August. However, Taekwando will carry on as usual during the fasting month. All ECAs will end on 26 September.
The UNSW assessments dates for English and Mathematics are as follows:

Swimming Lessons During The Fasting Month
