FIRST TERM BREAK
The first term break will begin next week 12 March. We hope that students will use this time wisely to look into their studies.
FUND RAISER / YOUNG ENTERPRENUER’S DAY
There will be a fund raiser next term on Saturday, 14th April here at the school grounds. The idea was mooted last year by the teachers and is aimed at encouraging our students to take part in raising funds as an ongoing project. Part of the funds will go to a charitable fund that the SRC normally will contribute to at the end of the year.
Some of the parents have offered to chip in and help, we are happy to say through the Sri Ara Schools Parent Group.
The SASP have a dedicated e-mail at saspgroup[at]gmail.com. Please contact them and support our project and make this a success.

Unity in Diversity
By the Students of Sri Ara
Dear Parents & Students of Sri Ara Schools,
Yet another year has just flown by and it seems at lightning speed! We can hardly stop to take a breather and before we know it is time for the Annual Dinner Concert once again and for me to sum up the year.
The year, 2011 has had its fair share of ups and downs. The “ups” were endorsement of the Sri Ara International School by the MOE and good results from last year’s 2010 Form Five students, Shamine Iznina and Year 11 students, Pretasheeny who scored a distinction in Accounting whilst Shamine had distinctions in Mathematics, Bahasa Melayu and English.
This has been followed by Distinctions from Thulasie of Form 3 and Saki of Year 6 for the English Assessment from University …
Malaysian Premiere of ‘Cars 2’
Just a quick reminder that there is to be a Charity Premier of the latest Disney/Pixar blockbuster ‘Cars 2’ to be held at the Cineleisure complex at City Square on Saturday, 20th August at 11 pm. This is a full 5 days before the movie goes on general release in Malaysia, so it is bound to be a great occasion.
The school has managed to get hold of just 20 tickets for this exclusive screening to be sold on a first come first serve basis. Each tickets is RM35 and the proceeds support the terrific work of Soroptimist International, a UNESCO recognized International Women’s Organization that runs two schools for refugees right here in Johor.
Even though it is the fasting month, we would love to see you there or if not, we hope that we can count …

School Security Regulations
In the light of recent developments both at the school and in other parts of Johor State – most specifically the dreadful hostage situation that occurred in a school in Muar – the staff and management of Sri Ara schools have recently conducted a review of our safety and security procedures.
Everyone at Sri Ara is proud of its reputation and our ability to run a fairly relaxed establishment. At the same time …
Dear Parents & Students

The Fundraising held on 9 April 2011 was a tremendous success. We are pleased to inform that in all RM 7,100 was raised.
