We have started 2014 with a big bang as the Chinese New Year celebrations kick in early this year. Thank you to everyone for making it a joyous occasion with great performances and a fabulous pot-luck spread to start off the year of the Horse. Despite all the practice for the celebrations, lessons have been carrying on from the first week of the school term.

December 2013 Office Closure
Sri Ara Schools news update – The school office is closed from 23rd to 27th December inclusive. We re-open for one day on the 30th December, thereafter to resume on the 2nd January 2014.

To be clear, it is confirmed that the first day for students next year is Tuesday, January 7th, 2014. Staff will be in before this, but pupils should be in school before 0800 on Tuesday, 7th.

The school will be organizing a school holiday programme during the August break from Monday, 5 to 16 August. You can drop your children with us as early as 9 am and pick them up at 3 pm and your children will be kept busy with a variety of activities including indoor and outdoor activities, music, cooking classes and storytelling. We place a huge emphasis on learning, fun, adventure and ensuring the children in our care are never bored!
The holiday programme attached, is open to Sri Ara students from ages 6 to 14 years old. To enrol, use the form attached. Additional enrolment forms can be obrtained from the administration office. For those who are already in the programme, it will not be necessary for you to re-enroll. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions.
UNSW Mathematics Assessment
A gentle reminder for those students who will be taking the UNSW Assessment for Mathematics, the assessment is on Tuesday 30 July @10.30 am. Assemble after break at building No. 23 and follow instructions from Ms. Mirandah.
Hari Raya Holidays and Second Term Break to 16 August
The Hari Raya holidays will begin from 5 to the 9 August followed by the second term break from 12 to 16 August. The school will reopen on Monday, 19 For the Muslims who will be celebrating, we at Sri Ara wish you a Happy Hari Raya or Eid.

Dear Parents/ Students,
The school will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, 10 July.
ECAs will break during the fasting month of Ramadhan, begining 5 July and will resume after the Aidil Fitri or Eid holiday break on 26 August. However, Taekwando will carry on as usual during the fasting month. All ECAs will end on 26 September.
The UNSW assessments dates for English and Mathematics are as follows:

Swimming Lessons During The Fasting Month
