Chinese New Year Celebration
The Chinese New Year celebration will be held on Friday, 17 February from 10.30 am to 12 pm. This will be followed by a pot luck lunch. Students and teachers are encouraged to come in traditional Chinese costumes. Lessons will be carried on as usual after the celebration.
SRI ARA CROSS COUNTRY RACE
The school will be holding a cross country event on Saturday, 18 February 2012 from 8.30 am to 12 pm. This is a replacement day for the school and attendance is compulsory.
A trial run will be held for the cross country race in place of swimming lessons on Wednesday 15 February for the secondary students and Thursday, 16 February for the primary students fro 8 am to 10 am. Details of this event will be communicated to parents and students next week.

ECAs & forms
ECAs have begun this week. We are pleased to inform everyone that an additional ECA, football, is being offered by Mr. Victor Eigims, tentatively on Tuesdays. For those who would like to participate please fill in the necessary forms which will be available from the office.

END OF SCHOOL YEAR 2011
Another year has passed and we have come to the end of our school year and hope 2011 has brought about a positive change to everyone at Sri Ara. We have strived to provide the best in your children’s education and we are proud that they have done well.
The SRC (Year 6/Primary 6 to Year 11/Form 5) will visit the welfare home at Kempas as scheduled from 8.30 to 10.30 am. They will go home after the visit and, come back to school later at 4 pm for their games and BBQ party.

Dear Parents & Students of Sri Ara Schools,
Yet another year has just flown by and it seems at lightning speed! We can hardly stop to take a breather and before we know it is time for the Annual Dinner Concert once again and for me to sum up the year.
The year, 2011 has had its fair share of ups and downs. The “ups” were endorsement of the Sri Ara International School by the MOE and good results from last year’s 2010 Form Five students, Shamine Iznina and Year 11 students, Pretasheeny who scored a distinction in Accounting whilst Shamine had distinctions in Mathematics, Bahasa Melayu and English.
This has been followed by Distinctions from Thulasie of Form 3 and Saki of Year 6 for the English Assessment from University …
We would like to inform you that the rehearsal for the school concert will be on Wednesday, 16 November instead of tomorrow, 15 November. The students will be transported by bus from school at 10.30 am to the venue and will be transported back to school by 3.15 pm. For lunch, they will have to bring their own food or order from the canteen.
Also, a reminder that there is no school on concert day (Friday, 18 November). Instead, please arrange for your child/children to be at the venue by 6 pm. A buffet dinner will be provided for them after which they will have to get ready for the concert. We appreciate your cooperation.
