Dear Parents/ Students,

First Term Break

The first term holidays are already here. School will close from Saturday, 23 March 2013 and will resume on Monday, 1 April 2013. Homework has been given to the students and it is hoped that the work will be conscientiously completed during this time.

UNSW Examination

Students who are sitting for Science in this examination will have their first paper on Tuesday, 23 April 2013.

Parents Teachers’ Meet

For parents who would like to discuss about their children’s progress in school or on any related issues, you can call the office for an appointment during the holiday. This is especially for parents who are new to the school. A meeting with teachers or principal could be arranged a couple of weeks after the term break.

Dear Parents,

As we approach the end of the School year, we would like to bring to your attention the following:

School Concert

The School Concert is on Friday, 9th November. Tickets are now on sale through the office, so please call to arrange your table, if you haven’t already done so. As always, students are practising very hard every day, and we would love to see every parent supporting them by being there.

I should also like to point out that as this is an official school function, student attendance is not optional. All pupils are expected to attend, and I would ask parents to make this clear to their children.

Parent Days

The school will close next week for Deepavali on Monday, 12th & 13th November and for Awal Muharram on Thursday, 15th November. School will be open on 14th and 16th November.

The End of Year Examination is scheduled. Please check our Newsletter. The timetables will be given to the students as soon as everything is finalized.

The PMR examination for the Form 3 students will begin on Tuesday, 9 October and end on Monday, 15 October.

Dear Parents,

MALAYSIA DAY 16 SEPTEMBER

Please take note that Malaysia Day falls on Sunday, 16 September and the holiday will be brought forward to Monday, 17 September. Therefore the school will be closed on Monday, 17 September. Please be back in school on Tuesday, 18 September.

UPSR EXAMINATION 11-13 SEPTEMBER

The UPSR examination will start on Tuesday, 11 September and end on Thursday, 13 September. To the primary 6 students and Nur Ashikin we would like to wish you all, ‘Good Luck’.

STUDENTS of Sri Ara Private School had so much fun at last year’s fund-raising food and fun-fair that they were keen to hold a similar event this year.  They were thrilled that the funds raised were channelled to the Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief fund through the Malaysian Red Crescent Society to its counterpart in Japan.

The rewarding experience encouraged the students to hold another fundraiser this year but they were undecided as to which charity to support.
