MID YEAR BREAK [26 MAY TO 17 JUNE]

Happy Holidays Everyone! We do hope that you will enjoy your holiday but that you will also use your time wisely to look into your studies especially for those who will be taking UPSR, PMR, SPM and IGCSE examinations.

FAREWELL & BON VOYAGE, RION!

We would like to wish Rion farewell and bon voyage as he leaves for his journey to Brazil and takes on new experiences. Rion, we wish you all the best in all your future undertakings. Rion came to Sri Ara in October, 2009 and we are pleased to say, has made excellent progress. We shall miss him. Keep up the good work, Rion and you will always be in our hearts!

PARENTS-TEACHERS’ DAY

The Parents-Teachers’ day is scheduled on Saturday, 30 June from 9 am to 12 noon. We look forward to meeting and discussing your child’s/children’s progress with you. Please take the opportunity to utilize this chance to meet the teachers.

As usual, refreshments will be served at Block No. 23 in the Art Room. All are welcome!

SRC TRIP [5 – 7 JULY]

The SRC trip, this year is tentatively fixed, from Thursday to Saturday, 5 to 7 July. It is a 3 days 2 nights stay in Desaru. Please refer to the attached letter for more information.

UNSW/ ICAS Assessment

The dates for the upcoming assessments are as follows :

English Tuesday, 10 July
Mathematics Tuesday, 24 July

 

 

SCHOOL SPORTS DAY

The telematch day is on Saturday, 14 July and we are going to have lots of fun activities and following that we will be having a barbeque for teachers, parents and students. We have received some wonderful suggestions from Mrs. Jennie Adams-Marshall and the Sri Ara Parents’ group who are kind enough to organize the barbeque. A copy of the letter is attached.

DISNEY CHANNEL DANCE COMPETITION

Sri Ara will be sending two teams to the auditions for the Disney Channel dance competition this year; one team from the primary section and one team from the secondary. Further information on the event will be disseminated after the holidays.

ECA & THE FASTING MONTH

The activities for ECAs will resume after the midterm break and end on 19 July to accommodate for the fasting month, exam preparations, concert practices and so on, with the exception of Taekwando which will carry on as usual until the month of September.

SRI ARA FOOD & FUNFAIR

The school has done well in the food and funfair charity event and a total of RM8,013.20 was collected. Further details on how it will be utilized will be communicated to you after the holidays. Thank you parents, teachers and students for your generous and marvellous effort!
