Dear Parents & Students
As a school, we strive to educate leaders of competence, conscience and compassion. One way we show our on-going compassion is through our charity drives – mainly the Sri Ara International & Private School Food & Funfair and Jumble Sale. Each year the students of Sri Ara organise a school charity drive and this event is open to the public and donations are greatly appreciated. We encourage all who are interested to join us at our coming fundraising event. The event is on Saturday, September 14 and will begin at 8.30 a.m. in the Sri Ara school grounds, 23 Jalan Straits View. It is a replacement day for the school so attendance is compulsory. Students will have to be in school by 8 am and go home at 3.30 pm.

UNSW Mathematics Assessment
A gentle reminder for those students who will be taking the UNSW Assessment for Mathematics, the assessment is on Tuesday 30 July @10.30 am. Assemble after break at building No. 23 and follow instructions from Ms. Mirandah.
Hari Raya Holidays and Second Term Break to 16 August
The Hari Raya holidays will begin from 5 to the 9 August followed by the second term break from 12 to 16 August. The school will reopen on Monday, 19 For the Muslims who will be celebrating, we at Sri Ara wish you a Happy Hari Raya or Eid.
Sri Ara is organizing a holiday programme during the Hari Raya and second term break from 5 August to 16 August for children from ages 6 to 14 years old. There will be lots of activities, indoors and outdoors for the learning experience. …

Dear Parents/ Students,
The school will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, 10 July.
ECAs will break during the fasting month of Ramadhan, begining 5 July and will resume after the Aidil Fitri or Eid holiday break on 26 August. However, Taekwando will carry on as usual during the fasting month. All ECAs will end on 26 September.
The UNSW assessments dates for English and Mathematics are as follows:

Mathematics – 30 July
Swimming Lessons During The Fasting Month
Please note that there will be some changes to the swimming lessons. During the fasting month swimming lessons on Thursdays will be combined with Wednesday’s lesson every week, beginning next week.

Back To School
Welcome back to school! We hope you all are well rested and ready for another term of hard work and fun. We also have a few new comers to the school. We would like to wish a warm welcome to Quinten and Tamon who have joined Year 2, Hinaki who has joined Year 1 of the primary international school.
This year, the Parents- Teachers day will be held on Saturday, 29 June. We look forward to meeting and discussing your child’s/children’s progress from 9.00 am to 12 noon. Refreshments will be served at Block No. 23 in the Art Room. All are welcome!

Mid Year Holidays/Summer Holidays
Yeay, the holidays are here again! The mid-year holidays will begin from Friday, 24 May until 16 June. The school will reopen on Monday, 17 June. The administration office will be open for business during the holidays from Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm but will be closed for lunch from 1 to 2pm.
Vesak day falls on Thursday, 24 May which will mark the start of our school holidays. For those who will be celebrating Vesak, Happy Vesak Day!
Due to an inconsistent demand during lunch time, the canteen operators have prepared a pre order lunch menu for students.
