We have started 2014 with a big bang as the Chinese New Year celebrations kick in early this year. Thank you to everyone for making it a joyous occasion with great performances and a fabulous pot-luck spread to start off the year of the Horse. Despite all the practice for the celebrations, lessons have been carrying on from the first week of the school term.

Mr. Edward Pragasam, In Memory
Mr. Edward Pragasam, our beloved head of art, passed away in the early hours of Sunday, 15 th September at the Singapore General Hospital, having undergone cardio surgery ten days earlier. He was an artist whose passion for education surpassed his love of art. He was a mentor to countless number of students and even in his old age, he was full of enthusiasm and optimism, inspiring students to pursue their passions and dreams. His hopes to hold an exhibition of his collection of artwork had since become a memory.
His passing on Sunday just prior to his 75th birthday, saddened us greatly as his presence will be dearly missed by all at Sri Ara.

Hari Raya Holidays and Second Term Break to 16 August

School Telematch Day – 26 April 2013
The school telematch day is on Friday, 26 April. The event will begin at 8 in the morning and will end around noon. Attendance is compulsory for all students as it is a school day. Attendance will be converted into house points that will go towards their respective teams. Students have to be in their house coloured t-shirts, shorts or track pants and comfortable running shoes. We welcome all parents to join in the fun! We would appreciate your support, to encourage and motivate your child and their team throughout the sports activities.
The canteen will be available from 10 am till 1 pm. The school will be adjourned at around 1.30 pm. If you are not able to be present please arrange transport home for your children.
