Dear Parents & Students
Annual Charity Drive – Sri Ara Food & Funfair
Last year, Sri Ara Food and Funfair Charity Drive raised funds part of which went to the Children’s Surgery Ward, Sultanah Aminah Hospital Johor Bahru and a part goes towards a fund for development of facilities. The Student Representative Council has an involved process to select the charities that benefit from this drive.
At Sri Ara we are keen that our students and staff are fully committed to and participate in fundraising opportunities for charity. We believe that fundraising should be fun and we also strongly believe it is an ideal way for our school community to help others who may be less fortunate than ourselves. Raising money for charity is a fantastic way to give something back to our local and international communities and to make a real difference …

Dear Parents & Students
As a school, we strive to educate leaders of competence, conscience and compassion. One way we show our on-going compassion is through our charity drives – mainly the Sri Ara International & Private School Food & Funfair and Jumble Sale. Each year the students of Sri Ara organise a school charity drive and this event is open to the public and donations are greatly appreciated. We encourage all who are interested to join us at our coming fundraising event. The event is on Saturday, September 14 and will begin at 8.30 a.m. in the Sri Ara school grounds, 23 Jalan Straits View. It is a replacement day for the school so attendance is compulsory. Students will have to be in school by 8 am and go home at 3.30 pm.

STUDENTS of Sri Ara Private School had so much fun at last year’s fund-raising food and fun-fair that they were keen to hold a similar event this year. They were thrilled that the funds raised were channelled to the Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief fund through the Malaysian Red Crescent Society to its counterpart in Japan.
The rewarding experience encouraged the students to hold another fundraiser this year but they were undecided as to which charity to support.
“I gave them a challenge to help us decide which charity the …
The coupons for the upcoming fund raising event on Saturday, 14 April are now ready, and we are distributing them to students, teachers and staff. Each person will be given 10 booklets, valued at RM100.00. More are available upon request from the administrative office. This is for safe and easy collection of funds.
We hope all parents will help their children in their effort to raise funds for the school – help them to sell the coupons, or volunteer to put one of our posters on your condo notice-board to advertise the event.
All the pupils and staff are working very hard to make this event successful, but we need your assistance. Please help the students, your children, in any way you can.
The day will be a replacement day for the school so attendance is compulsory. Students will have to be …
